If you looked around at most football betting odds prior to the 2019 season, not many if any at all had the Buffalo Bills making it to the postseason.
The team surprised a lot of people around the league, as they went 10-6 despite ranking 21st overall in Offensive efficiency.
The club is scheduled to draft 22nd in the 2020 NFL Draft, one ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles and one behind the rival New England Patriots.
The team could use help at the playmaker spot, either wide receiver, tight end or running back. They seem to have the quarterback they need in Josh Allen, who stepped up as the best playmaker on the roster not only throwing the ball but with his feet rushing for yards and touchdowns.
The past three times the Bills took a wide out in the first round, that player delivered at least one 1,000-yard season, so it would not be a complete shock to see them yet again go wide out in round one, as it has worked the last couple times, so why not go back to the well?
Popular draft website Walter Football is out with one of their 2020 mock drafts for the NFL, and they have the Bills also going wide receiver.
The site has the Bills taking TCU wide out Jalen Reagor. Here is what the site had to say about the Bills taking Reagor.
John Brown has been excellent, and Cole Beasley is solid, but the Bills have nothing else at the position. They could opt to take one of several receivers projected to go in the opening round this April. Jalen Reagor is a blazing-fast receiver who can go the distance whenever he touches the ball.
Getting a wide receiver with “blazing-fast” speed like Reagor would be a welcome addition to the Bills offense, one that simply didn’t put up enough big plays last season, and could have used one or two more while they were building up a lead in the AFC Wild Card game which they lost in overtime to the Houston Texans.
At the end of the day, the offense has to be the area of the team that has to be addressed, and no matter how they do it, the Bills have to do whatever they can to make sure to get Allen more weapons.
Doing that could put this team in a great position for 2020, one that could see them challenge the Pats for the AFC East crown.
