Bills Starting QB AJ McCarron Suffers Collarbone Fracture Against Browns

For Bills fans that wanted to see rookie QB Josh Allen get meaningful snaps this season, you may already be getting your wish.

That news comes after starter AJ McCarron suffered a fractured collarbone during the Bills 19-17 win over the Browns in Cleveland on Friday night.

“A.J. McCarron has a right shoulder injury but we won’t know more until we get back to Buffalo,” Bills coach Sean McDormett said following the game.

McCarron went 3-6 for 12 yards in the preseason win. He’s thrown six career touchdowns, all coming in 2015.

For now, it’s Allen’s job to lose as it looks like there’s no doubt McCarron is going to miss some time with the injury.
