Bills Roster Cuts Include LB’s Lawson and Johnson, CB Moore and FB Felton

Jerome Felton

The Bills are not waiting around to make roster cuts today to trim their roster, as less than 24 hours after their 4th and final preseason game, the team has been saying ‘so long’ to a number of players.

So far confirmed to have been released include cornerback Sterling Moore and linebacker Randell Johnson, this according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com and Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Moore has been around, as he came to the Bills from the Bucs this offseason. He’s also been a part of the Patriots, Cowboys, and Raiders. Johnson has been with the Bills the last two seasons, and in that time made one start.

Fullback Jerome Felton and linebacker Manny Lawson have also been released and will be looking for work with another team. Felton was signed as a free agent last offseason to a four-year pact worth $9.2MM, with $4MM guaranteed.

Glenn Gronkowski will take Felton’s role as the teams fullback.

Lawson last season appeared in every game and also started 14 games, putting up 45 tackles, 1 sack, and 5 pass deflections. Lawson is facing a one-game ban as a result of a domestic violence incident.
