Bills Sign Veteran RB Reggie Bush to a One-Year Deal

Reggie Bush

The Bills today picked up a former Super Bowl Champion, as the team inked running back Reggie Bush to a one-year deal.

The 31-year-old will compete with veteran Mike Gillislee and rookie Jonathan Williams for a backup role behind LeSean McCoy in training camp.

Karlos Williams, who as a rookie last season showed promise as the Bills’ No. 2 running back, is suspended for the first four games of the regular season for a violation of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.

Jonathan Williams was arrested for suspicion of DWI earlier this month, although if the 2016 fifth-round pick is suspended, it will not likely happen until later in the upcoming season or until the 2017 season.

It’s easy to see why the Bills would want to claim a bonus picking up Bush, as if he has gas left in the tank, he can be a big asset to the team for the 2016 season.
