Report: “Really Possible” Tyrod Taylor is Bills QB to Start 2015

Divisional Playoffs - Baltimore Ravens v New England Patriots

It is “really possible” that the Buffalo Bills name Tyrod Taylor as their starting quarterback for 2015 according to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News.

Taylor spent the last four years as Joe Flacco’s backup with the Baltimore Ravens and has never started an NFL game but seems to be the quarterback that first-year head coach Rex Ryan is most enthusiastic about. Taylor split reps evenly with journeyman Matt Cassel and third-year QB EJ Manuel throughout the offseason program with Cassel turning in the worst performance of the three. It is not that cray an idea to suggest that Taylor can beat out Manuel and his 58.6 career competion percentage.

Ryan loves Taylor’s speed and wanted to add him to the Jets roster when he wa head coach in New York. With an ego like Ryan’s, going with the QB he hand-picked does not seem like a far-fetched concept. Everything could change, however, once the plays finally put on pads when training camp starts on July 31.
