Top 20 Buffalo Bills Of All-Time

Bruce Smith DE

1. Bruce Smith DE 1985-1999

Drafted with the first pick of the 1985 NFL draft, Smith went on to record more sacks than any player in the history of the league. In 15 years with the Bills, Smith recorded 941 tackles, 171 sacks, and 35 forced fumbles. He recorded at least 10 sacks in 12 of the 15 years he spent with the team. By 1989, Smith, in notching his 52nd sack, had already become the Bills’ all-time sack leader, claiming a team record that he was to raise 119 times over the years. Some conjecture that his 171 sacks in Buffalo set a standard that “may be unreachable” for future Bills.

Odomes over Edgerson, Byrd (Butch) and James and all four behind a punter and TE? Not even close. Writer must be 12 years old because he knows nothing about the history of the Buffalo Bills.
