Bills Home Finale vs Jets to be Blacked Out Locally

In a not so shocking move, the Bills have announced Sunday’s home finale vs the Jets is going to be blacked out locally.

In what was easily the least surprising announcement of the 2012 calendar year, Buffalo Bills CEO Russ Brandon announced Wednesday morning on WGR 550 that this Sunday’s game against the New York Jets has not sold out, and will be blacked out on local television.

Buffalo is 0-5 so far against Rex Ryan and the Jets in three seasons under Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey. They’ve lost those five games by an average score of 36-17; only once has a Bills/Jets game been competitive in the last three years (a 28-24 road loss last season in New Jersey). The other four Bills losses have been by at least 16 points.

So, yeah. Nobody wants to go watch a bad Bills team play another bad team (the Jets are 6-9 and en route to their first losing season since 2007) that has consistently beaten Buffalo by three scores since the start of the decade.
