Bills Ink Free Agent DE Mark Anderson to a Four-Year Deal

The Bills today came to terms with free agent defensive end Mark Anderson to a four-year contract. The deal is worth $27.5 million and includes $8 million in guaranteed money.

2006 fifth-round pick out of Alabama by the Bears, the 6-foot-4, 255-pound Anderson has 163 tackles and 35.5 sacks with seven forced fumbles during his 93-game career. The 28-year-old Anderson posted 10 sacks as a pass-rush specialist for the New England Patriots in 2011, adding 2.5 more sacks in three playoff games, including 1.5 sacks in Super Bowl XLVI.

Since free agency opened up, Anderson drew interest from the Ravens, Dolphins and Titans. The Bills had the third-lowest number of quarterback sacks (29) during the 2011 season.
