The Bills and veteran cornerback Terrence McGee have agreed on a restructured contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
Terms were not disclosed, as per club policy.
Prior to Wednesday, McGee, 31, was due at $4.2 million in total compensation, including a $3.6 million base salary and $500,000 roster bonus, and a cap number of $6.3 million, the highest on the team.
Injuries have limited McGee to 26 games over the last three seasons. The 2003 fourth-round pick out of Northwestern State has 511 tackles, three quarterback sack and 17 interceptions during his nine-year career, but has not intercepted a pass since December 13, 2009.
