WR Stevie Johnson Says Contract Talks With Bills Have Broken Down

Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson could be down to playing his final games with the Bills after contract talks broke off a few weeks ago.

Johnson would prefer to re-sign with the Bills and is wondering where his future rests after the team rejected his last offer. Johnson plans to “ride out” the final three games and see whether the Bills re-open talks before he’s eligible to become a free agent this offseason.

He wouldn’t divulge what his asking price was, but told The Associated Press it averaged out to less than $9 million a season — putting him in the mid-range of the league’s No. 1 receivers.
