2010 Look Back – Packers Pound Bills in Week Two 34-7

Today we look back to Week two of the 2010 season, as the 0-1 Bills take it on the chin in Lambeau against the Packers, losing 34-7 to the eventual Super Bowl Champs.

It started out promising.

But in the second half, promising morphed into pathetic and the Green Bay Packers claimed victory in their home opener with a convincing dissection of the Buffalo Bills, 34-7, at Lambeau Field.  The Packers improved to 2-0 and the Bills dropped to 0-2.

In an attempt to awake their offense from a deep and pitiful slumber, the Bills hired head coach Chan Gailey and drafted rookie C.J. Spiller in the offseason.  So far through two games, neither has made any significant impact to revive the nonexistent offense.

Under the direction of Gailey, for the second straight week, the Bills managed less than 200 yards of total offense; in last week’s loss to Miami, the Bills managed a Week 1 worst 166 yards of total offense.  On Sunday, in their loss to the Packers the Bills gained 186 total yards.  In two games this season, the Bills are averaging 8.5 points per game and 176 yards of total offense per game.
