Breakdown of the Third Day of the Draft for the Bills breaks down day three for the Bills, and gives their take on some background on the players the team picked.

Round 4, Pick 3 (100) Da’Norris Searcy DB 5’11” 223 North Carolina 4.9

Pick Analysis: The Bills continue to add intriguing pieces to their secondary with the selection of Searcy. He is a tough, physical player with a feel for playing against the run. He also is an accomplished returner with the potential to add some juice in the kicking game.

Round 4, Pick 25 (122) (From Seahawks) Chris Hairston OL 6’6″ 326 Clemson 5.5

Pick Analysis: The Bills pick up a developmental prospect with the selection of Hairston. He has the combination of size, strength and athleticism that scouts covet in edge blockers. He might not give them an immediate jolt at the position, but he could be a down-the-road solution at the position.

Round 5, Pick 2 (133) Johnny White RB 5’10” 209 North Carolina 6.3

Pick Analysis: White is a tough, hard-nosed runner with the ability to be a strong contributor with the Bills. His downhill running skills will boost a Bills’ running game that already features a pair of quality runners in Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller.

Round 6, Pick 4 (169) Chris White LB 6’3″ 240 Mississippi St. 2.7

Pick Analysis: White will compete as a backup inside linebacker. He will also add some depth and athleticism to their kicking units.

Round 7, Pick 3 (206) Justin Rogers DB 5’11” 180 Richmond 3.1

Pick Analysis: Rogers is undersized, but the Bills were likely enticed by his quickness and ability to jump underneath routes. He’ll have an uphill climb making the team.
