Now that all the turkey has been consumed, the sweet potatoes have been devoured and the very last crumbs of the pumpkin pie are no more, it’s time to get back to the football business at hand.
Yours truly apologies for this is a bit overdue, however, it’s never too late to acknowledge the fact that Buffalo Bills DB Drayton Florence was the reigning AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
Florence registered three tackles, an INT, two passing breakups and an-important defensive touchdown that firmly swung the momentum of the game in Buffalo’s favor. With the Bills trailing 31-21 early in the third quarter, Florence recovered a fumble by Bengals RB Cedric Benson and returned it 27 yards to the house, bringing the Bills to within three points.
The last time Florence represented the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Week honor was back in 2004 when Florence was a member of the San Diego Chargers.
