Bills Injury Report: OG Eric Wood Ruled Out; McGee, Nelson and Spiller Questionable

Bills starting OG Eric Wood will miss today’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Wood injured his ankle in last week’s victory over Cincinnati and has not practiced all week.  Backup G Kraig Urbik, a former Steelers, will start in place of the injured Wood.

Three other players have been ruled out as well:  DE Spencer Johnson and LB’s Shawne Merriman and Keith Ellison.  Johnson will miss his second straight game after suffering a hamstring injury late in the game against the Detroit Lions.  Merriman has not been on the practice field in over two weeks since he aggrivated his injured Achilles.  Meanwhile, Ellison missed all of practice this week due to a knee injury.

Though he has missed practice for the majority of this week, CB Terrence McGee has been officially listed as questionable for today’s game.  McGee was forced to leave practice on Wednesday after he aggrivated a lingering knee injury.  McGee is also dealing with a back injury.

C.J. Spiller saw limited action in practice this week and he is also questionable.  Spiller left the game versus the Lions with a hamstring injury and did not return, and missed last week’s game against the Bengals.  The rookie running back is likely to be a game-time decision.

Bills TE Shawn Nelson missed Friday’s practice with an illness and his status for the game is also questionable.
