Nix calls this season a “painful process”

All but calling this season a rebuilding project, Bills general manager Buddy Nix says addressing the team’s inherent problems can’t be fixed overnight. Nix says he’s frustrated by the team’s 0-4 start, which is not where he envisioned the Bills to be when he was hired in December.

In calling it a “painful” process, Nix says he intends to stick to his plan to retool the Bills through the draft, and insists that is the only way to turn them into contenders. Nix spoke to reporters Thursday as the team prepares to host Jacksonville (2-2) on Sunday. The Bills have spent the past two weeks in upheaval after releasing former starting quarterback Trent Edwards and trading running back Marshawn Lynch to Seattle.
