Antonio Coleman making a strong impression with the Bills

The National Football Post reports that it looks like new Bill Antonio Coleman is making quite the positive impression
in trying out for the Bills:

It was a surprise for Antonio Coleman when he went undrafted out of Auburn after leading the Southeastern Conference with 10 sacks and 16 1/2 tackles for losses last season. Now, he’s making his bid to make the Buffalo Bills. “I don’t know why it happened,” Coleman told the Buffalo News. “I played well in one of the toughest conferences there is. It was disappointing, but you have to move on from it. It was a crazy process, but all I asked is for an opportunity. I was disappointed not getting drafted, but that doesn’t matter anymore. I have an opportunity and I just felt that Buffalo was the place for me.” Coleman was a two-time All-Southeastern Conference selection who recorded 24 1/2 career sacks. The Bills are excited about Coleman’s potential. “Our theory in Buffalo is we always try to expect one or two of these undrafted guys to make our team because they are motivated by not getting drafted or because they didn’t fit the stereotype position measurables but are able to find a way to get it done,” Heinlen said. “We try to find guys who had production at a high level, who have a football character and an off-field character that allow them to want to achieve and prove people wrong and can come in and compete and push guys and fight for a spot on the roster. We think he obviously has got the ability to do that.”

The Bills got a great player when they signed Antonio Coleman as a free agent. He not only has great football ability but he has the work ethic and character to make a great contribution to the Bills. I look forward to following his career in the NFF.
