Bills hire Darrell Moody as their national scout

Aaron Wilson, excellent writer at the National Football Post, reported yesterday that the Bills have a new national scout, as the team has hired Darrell Moody for that position.

The Bills have hired Darrell Moody as their national scout, the team announced. He spent the past eight seasons with the San Diego Chargers as their Southeast regional scout. Prior to joining the Chargers in 2002, Moody accumulated 31 years of coaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels. I

n the collegiate ranks he held coaching positions at North Carolina State (1973-74, 76-79, 97), Southern Mississippi (1975), LSU (1980-83), Appalachian State (1984), Tulane (1985-87), North Carolina (1988-95, 98-00) and Clemson (1996). Moody played quarterback at North Carolina State.

The Bills also promoted Matt Hand to area scout where he’ll primarily scout the Midwest. He was previously the BLESTO scout.
