Buffalo Bills Seclect Central Florida NT Torell Troup with 41st Overall Pick in Second Round

The Bills find a glaring need with the No.41 overall pick in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft, selecting Central Florida NT Torell Troup.

A bit of surprise here for Troup, especially with fellow DTs, Alabama’s Terrence Cody and North Carolina’s Cam Thomas, still on the draft board.  Both have been rated higher than Troup by scouts and Troup could be considered a bit of a reach here.

One other note: still on the board are Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen and OT Charles Brown of USC.  It seems as though the message is clear from GM Buddy Nix and the front office: they’re not high on Clausen at all and they must like Demetrius Bell a lot to not select Brown.

Well it shows there is a need to further show what they have to show best. Surprisingly, maybe he was the player fit enough for it.

it is soo amusing that they didnt take clausen or a someone for the o.f. considering they are extremely weak in both areas. i’d rather clausen than trent edwards

    ***O.L.

  4. It certainly looks like they are comfortable with Edwards, at least over the short term.

Giving him some better weapons and some time to throw would be a good start as he has shown the ability to go through his progressions, which is more then some of the QB’s that the franchise has employed since Kelly retired.
