Bills Promote National Scout Buddy Nix as GM

Bills national scout Buddy Nix has been promoted to general manager in team owner Ralph Wilson’s first move to revamp his front office. Nix was introduced at a news conference Thursday as the Bills (5-10) prepare to close their season hosting Indianapolis (14-1) on Sunday. Nix fills a void after Marv Levy stepped down as [...]

QB Fitzpatrick Expected to Start Sunday vs Colts

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who has been struggling with a sprained ankle, is expected to return to the lineup Sunday vs. Indianapolis. He missed last week’s game but took the majority of snaps with the first-team offense in practice Wednesday. Interim coach Perry Fewell said Fitzpatrick would start unless there are physical setbacks.

Bills Still Haven’t Gone Full Out in Coaching Search

According to NFL.com’s Jason LaCanfora, the Bills have not yet begun their head coaching search in earnest. All of the “name” coaches, such as Mike Shanahan, Bill Cowher, and Jon Gruden, are out. Falcons, Dolphins Provide Bills with Blueprint for Rags to Riches Turnaround

With one final game left for the Buffalo Bills in a disappointing 2009 campaign, the focus now shifts to one of the most important offseasons in Bills history. The first step came back in November with the firing off Dick Jauron after the team’s pathetic 42-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans. There are sure to [...]

‘Next year’ beckons Bills with open arms….Again

I am not going to be the one to question or prognosticate as to what happened to the Buffalo Bills today in their game Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, but one thing was for certain: their offense was anemic, to put it kindly. Other than wide receiver Terrell Owens reaching a milestone today, the Bills [...]

Shanahan No Longer A Coaching Candidate

As I reported on this past Friday, the NFL coaching carousel is in full swing, and former Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan was a candidate for at least one of the inevitable vacancies come 2010. The Buffalo Bills can eliminate one potential head coaching candidate. Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News is reporting that [...]

Bills Try to Ground Falcons in Final Road Game of Season

As the Buffalo Bills’ 2009 draws closer to an end, our beloved Bills travel south for one final road game this season to face the Atlanta Falcons. On paper, this appears to be just another matchup of two non-playoff teams during the final weekend in December. But if nothing else, this game will have some [...]
