Bills Trade Safety Ko Simpson to the Lions

The Bills not only fired offensive coordinator Turk Schonert Friday, they also made a roster move in sending safety Ko Simpson to the Lions. Adam Schefter of ESPN had the following on his Twitter account about the move:

Busy day for Buffalo. Also traded DB Ko Simpson to Detroit for an undisclosed draft pick (probably a 2010 late rounder).

Simpson started 15 games as a rookie in 2006, and last season started eleven. He’s most known for being arrested on New Year’s Day and telling police, “I’m Ko Simpson with the Buffalo Bills. I am worth millions!”

He’ll earn a base salary of $1 million in 2009, the final year of his rookie deal.
