Bills Wrap Up One-Year Deal with WR Terrell Owens

The Buffalo Bills are taking the risk, as today reports are flying in that WR Terrell Owens and the Bills have come to terms on a one-year deal. Vic Carucci is reporting at NFL.com that the deal is worth $6.5 million. We had reported earlier in the day that coach Dick Jauron requested the talk with Owens, and after the talk with he and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus the deal was sealed.

Fox Sports reported that Owens “has called friends with ties to the team to ask questions about the franchise and Buffalo community, a source said.” Rosenhaus had said on Friday that a couple of teams were in the mix for Owens, but for whatever reason the Bills were the best fit (or were offering the most cash).

Last season Owens had more catches (69), receiving yards (1,052) and touchdowns (10) than any player on the Bills roster. In Buffalo, He’ll play opposite Lee Evans, who in the past two seasons hasn’t come close to matching his 82-catch campaign from 2006.

    Incredible news.

  2. I’m in a way happy but I hope he doesn’t put too much pressure on a still fragile Trent Edwards.

I hope you have enough anti-venom for the poison.

As a life long Bills fan growing up in Texas was rough! Yesterday with the signing of T.O. I am again proud to be a Bills fan! Everybody talks about the plague that is T.O. but the only plague in the NFL is losing and not making the playoffs for 9 straight years. Cowgirl fans can’t blame T.O., they need to blame Cabo Romo for having the worst work ethic and practice ethic ever! T.O. doesn’t choke in November and December that’s Romo and now that T.O. is gone Cabo will be exposed. The Bills just got a lot better and actually have a shot a the playoffs. If T.O. puts up a 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Bills the town of Buffalo should elect Terrell Mayor or something! I’m giddy like a little girl right now!

    Good move Buffalo.

I’m one a few Cowboys fans that thinks we are stupid.
