Lynch Arrested on Possession of a Concealed Firearm

A Pro Bowl running back is in trouble with the law, as Bills RB Marshawn Lynch has been arrested and charged with felony possession of a concealed firearm, according to a press release from the Culver City Police Department. Pro Football Talk.com reports that Lynch was involved in an incident in Culver City on Wednesday night when police were in the Fox Hills area, and they came into contact with three adult males in an 06 Mercedes Benz.

They did a report, and found a loaded firearm. The site says that the report read: “The officers determined the gun belonged to Lynch and he was arrested for possession of a concealed firearm.” Lynch was taken to the booking center and was later released on $35,000 bond. Police officials said that the case will be submitted to the District Attorney’s office for filing consideration.

The Bills did speak on the arrest: “We can confirm that Marshawn was arrested in California and has retained an attorney,” Bills V.P. of communications Scott Berchtold told WIVB-TV. “We are in the process of trying to gather the facts and will not offer a comment while that process is ongoing.”

Lynch could face a suspension, or some other type of sanction under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.
