Bills LB Mitchell Dedicates Win To Coach Dick Jauron

From: Buffalo News

It was all set up for a run-for-the-bus effort by the Buffalo Bills after the first quarter of Sunday’s game. They responded by playing 45 minutes of excellent football and — in the view of numerous players in the locker room — made a statement in support of their head coach. “It means a lot,” linebacker Kawika Mitchell said after the Bills’ 30-23 victory over the Denver Broncos. “We’ve had a rough 10 games or so. We really needed it.

It means a lot for our team, it means a lot to our coaches. We started off saying we wanted to win this game for Coach [Dick] Jauron. He’s been under a lot of heat. It was nice to be able to do that.” The implication for the Bills may not be known until after the season, when the Bills either move forward with Jauron’s contract extension or decide to swallow it. “Everybody reads the media and knows what’s going on,” Mitchell said. “So we just know he’s been under a lot of heat. He takes good care of us. We wanted to win for ourselves and we really wanted to win for him.”
