Bills Add Former Hawaii WR C.J. Hawthorne to the Roster

Posted by Matt Loede on August 4th, 2008 filed in News, Roster Moves

The Bills today signed receiver C.J. Hawthorne, an undrafted rookie free agent out of Hawaii.  Hawthorne had 61 catches for 859 yards and six touchdowns in 13 starts with the Rainbows last season, his first at receiver after being converted from cornerback. The Bills had an opening on their roster after formally placing Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters on their reserve-did-not-report list.

C.J. Hawthorne is the truth, hopefully he stavs around long enough to show how dedicated to football he is. His work ethic will not be matched on or off the field. Did i forget to mention he is electric. Great guy, Good luck.

I believe giving C.J. Hawthorne a place on the Bills team will not be something that you will regret. C.J. is a person that is true to his family and everyone he comes in contact with. He will live up to the challenge on the field and in everyday life. He will not disappoint you just give him the cahnce.
