It looks as if the Bills are going to be staying within when it comes to the hiring of an offensive coordinator, as the Buffalo News is reporting that current QB’s coach Turk Schonert will be promoted to that position within the next few days. Schonert has spent 22 years in the NFL, 10 as a player and 12 as an assistant coach. This will be his first chance as a coordinator. The team has been looking for a new coordinator since Steve Fairchild left to become the new coach at Colorado State. With moving Schonert up, the team is also expcted to then promote offensive quality control coach Alex Van Pelt up to quarterbacks coach.
