Kevin Everett Releases Statement

From a Houston hospital, injured Bills reserve tight end Kevin Everett is thanking his fans.  He issued a statement from his hospital room yesterday, nearly six weeks after suffering a severe spinal injury.  In it, he thanks his supporters for keeping him in their thoughts and prayers.  He also confirms that he’s started taking steps this week with the assistance of a walker.  Doctors had originally thought he might be permanently paralyzed.  Everett remains at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, where he continues rehabilitation for the injury suffered in the Bills’ home opener September 9th.
