Bills Sign Cornerback Butler; Release RB Scobey

The Kansas State product spent training camp with the Washington Redskins before being released August 28th. In six NFL seasons with the Rams, he started 31 of the 65 games he played in. Butler has 205 career tackles, nine interceptions, a forced fumble and four fumble recoveries. He led St. Louis in picks in 2003 and 2004. The Bills also announced they released running back Josh Scobey.
