New “Dream and Believe” Shirt Out to Support Kevin Everett

As Buffalo Bills player Kevin Everett continues to recover from his spinal injury, local support for Everett is only growing. Beginning Monday, the public has a new way to show that support.

If you’ve seen the “dream and believe” shirts around, you might know who’s behind this new effort starting Monday morning. The “dream and believe” idea first came about from a physical therapist in Lockport, named Lisa Blas. She created the t-shirts during one of the two Buffalo Sabres playoff runs, as fans showed their support for the team.

Those shirts raised more than 30,000 dollars for the American Cancer Society. Now Lisa’s turning her efforts to new shirts, supporting Kevin Everett and spinal cord research. She and others involved hope it shows “Number 85” how much people are behind him.

Physical therapist Lisa Blas said, “Everybody has done their part. People have stood outside the hospital every night. My daughter says her prayers and prays for him. It’s just something we can do as good neighbors to help out.”

Julie Finley (Advantage Physical Therapy) said, “I hope he is thrilled and it lifts his spirits for him to know thousands of people in Western New York are pulling for him and hoping for a full recovery for him.”

The shirts go on sale Monday morning. They cost ten dollars each. If you would like to purchase one, call 716-433-3368.
