LB Ellison Out Indefinitely with Right Ankle Sprain

Ellison

The Bills are going to have to deal with an injury as week one against the Broncos approach and beyond, as linebacker Keith Ellison is out indefinitely with a sprained ankle.  The injury took place on Thursday in the preseason finale vs the Lions in which the Bills won 16-13.  The linebacker hurt the ankle in the second quarter of the win, and was seen on crutches and wearing a protective boot on his right foot postgame in the locker room.  Ellison was going to take over the weak side linbacker spot that was created when the team moved Takeo Spikes to the Eagles in the offseason.  He will be replaced by Coy Wire, who is a six-year vet who has been a big part of the Bills special teams unit.
