Bills Not Going to be Sold Says Wilson

Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson says his football team will eventually be sold, although that day will not happen in his lifetime. The 88-year-old tells the Buffalo News he’s decided not to leave the team to his wife when he dies, and that massive estate taxes will prevent him for handing off the franchise to his daughters. The news does little to ease fans’ worries about the future of the Bills in Buffalo. The franchise, which Wilson has owned since 1959, is worth a reported $627-million. Wilson says he has no knowledge of any party currently interested in buying the team and keeping it in the Buffalo area.
